Our mission is to foster supportive communities with shared appreciation for the positive impact of skatepark-related action sports. We seek to accomplish our mission by:
1) Helping youth discover the joy and experience the benefits of skatepark-related action sports.
2) Advocating for the creation and utilization of skateparks and other skateable locations.

@clay_patrick_mcbride is an artist and educator. Originally from NYC and currently teaching at the Rochester Insititute of Technology. He says "I am drawn to the skate park because its one of the few places in Rochester where you see a great deal of diversity. Here, you see all kinds of people mixing together. Black, brown, white, asian, straight, queer, young and older folks are chopping it up. These photographs illustrate how inclusive and openminded the skate community is here in Rochester. Everyone is celebrated at the park and in my work." The technique McBride uses is called "Wet Plate Collodion" it is an early photographic process from around the 1850s. This photographic process requires material to be coated, sensitized, exposed and developed within the span of about fifteen minutes, necessitating a portable darkroom for use in the field. ...
